React Native

October 31, 2017

Recently I got the task to familiarize myself with React Native and evaluate if it is suitable for a project. Learning by doing is usually the most effective approach. To acchieve that, I had to write native bindings in Objective-C and Java.

After two weeks, I shared the source code of the sample app and my learnings with the team in a presentation. I want to take the opportunity and share my findings also in a short blog post.

About Moo24

February 18, 2017

Once upon a time, a young software engineer decided to create a new home for his mind in the world wide web. A blog to post cool stuff and share his knowledge about software development. I'm Marlon, a Software Engineer located in the area of Frankfurt, Germany.

My key expertise is in web and mobile application development with focus on search, navigation and visualization of geographic information. Some say JavaScript is my second native language.

Since ten years I am working full-time for a global mapping & navigation company. Therefore, I am an expert in working with location based services and location-driven data solutions.

In my spare time I love all sorts of adrenalin like driving in the green hell or travelling around the world to kitesurf on the best kite-boarding spots like Cabarete & Le Morne.

When I got my Panasonic Lumix G5 I discovered photography as my second passion. In contrast to software development I am still a beginner in taking pictures.

If you like my work feel free to drop me a message.
